Thanks so much for the plan, it’s fantastic and while challenging, I’ve run faster than I have in about 15 years and feel primed to at least take some AG podiums this season.

Have used Coach Steve’s training course twice now and it’s been amazing! Easy to follow and really prepared me for both an Olympic distance and my first half Ironman. I’m using his program again this summer for another half Ironman. I’m not the fastest racer but my times have improved and most important for me, no injuries and I was able to complete the half ironman with energy to spare.
Thought I would let you know, ran my 3rd fastest marathon on Sunday in Sydney, followed the 10 week advanced plan, to a letter, felt like it was my best performance strong until the end, it was only my fault I didn’t get the actual PB as I misjudged the GPS my garmin had me at 04:51 laps, yet the course measured long on the watch at 42.9km so Garmin and Training Peaks tells me it is a PB, I’ll take it!
Anyway seriously though, thanks I will definitely be using it again.
Great plan so far btw!
Just want to say I’m loving the plan and bar this week its really trying in with my work/life balance which is really what I needed
Think this is my 4/5th plan from Steve and it didn’t disappoint. I first started with Steve 3 years ago on my first iron distance plan and finished in 15 hrs 42 minutes I finished Ironman Leeds (a very hilly course) in 12 hrs 13 minutes which is a pb of 3 hrs and 30 mins ! I did this pb with Steve’s plans and felt like I still had time to socialise and didn’t take over my life with good progression and now I feel like I can still go faster ! So here’s to the next plan !
Used the “Marathon Intermediate 12 week plan – 40 – 70 km per week” and it brought me from a 4hr16 marathon to a 3hr25 marathon. Great plan and easy to follow. Volume is sufficient and not too much and therefore I managed to stay injury free.
Followed the HALF DISTANCE training programme from Coach Steve on training peaks prior to competing in Tri X, advertised as the world’s toughest half iron. This was my first triathlon and I couldn’t of done it without the excellent training advice. Going into the race the fittest I have been in a very long time, taking 6th in my age group and 21st overall. Thanks Coach Steve, on to the next one!
I’m entering week 20 of your ADVANCED FULL DISTANCE 32 week (50yrs+, HR-based) program. Really enjoying the plan so far, making great progress, and—knock on wood—remain injury-free.
Coach Steve & I have been working together for a number of years, Steve has been invaluable in my ability to train & complete races. Having a young family, busy job & limited free time, his structured yet flexible approach allows me to still get training in. Accompanying S&C programs really help you training smart as well as hard. The best thing working with Steve is having a rational voice to keep you honest. He will have that difficult conversations with you, this helps me set realistic goals
Thought I would drop you a quick message to thank you for your useful info/assistance. Last Saturday at the age of 66 I completed the full distance in 14hrs 45. I was first in my age group out the swim!
I definitely will recommend you to others.
51 mins faster than last year!! Going for a beer after a lie down.. Thanks Coach Steve
It has been a very exciting 4 years working with Steve. At the start of wash Eason we set challenging but achievable goals with a plan that is tailored to the athlete, not the other way around and one that is adaptable to life’s general obstacles! Not only is data reviewed in detail, but how the athlete feels is also considered in each block. Not only have I achieved personal goals, I have even podiumed a number of times. Could not recommend coach Steve enough!
