Grabbed a nice age group win in my first tri of the season yesterday – helped of course by your training plan! 🙂
I completed my first FULL DISTANCE in Klagenfurt, Austria, using the 6-month training plan. Working 50 hours a week, the plan is well-designed and with enough flexibility to be able to balance training with a demanding work schedule.
Coach Steve was always very responsive to questions and provided constructive advice based on my personal performance needs, and the metrics dashboard provided helpful insights into progress. I look forward to using Smart Endurance Solutions for future races!
I’m so glad I found your plan to help me accomplish my goal of completing my first triathlon this year. With no prior triathlon experience, I signed up for the Timberman HALF DISTANCE which was held on 9/18/22. I signed up for this race in late 2021. In January, I purchased this plan – INTERMEDIATE HALF DISTANCE 32 week plan includes email access to Coach, reusable, HR based and got started in February. I completed my HALF DISTANCE in 6 hours, 11 minutes and am very pleased with this
Thank you for the training plan and your helpful tips and advice throughout, it all paid off and this was my first ever attempt at a full-distance tri in FULL DISTANCE Couer d’Alene in Idaho.
I just wanted to say thanks for the brilliant plans this year – I’ve just done the Olympic one for London T100 Olympic, and I really enjoyed it. It felt like a good balance of interesting swim sessions, some good run speed work, and lots of brick sessions. I’ve tried your plans before and was impressed. Next year will be back to doing 70.3 training, so I’ll look forward to getting one of your plans for that.
Hi Steve, thanks again for the plan. Had a great time in Kona, super magical over there.
Since we teamed up your coaching and advice has made a major difference & improvement to my training. Your analysis has highlighted instances where I was overtraining, brought a focus and rationale to training in the correct HR zones which has developed my endurance. Your coaching has also introduced proper periodization to my training. Crucially having you coaching me has taken away the usual second guessing that goes with setting one’s own training schedule. On the journey I have found that you listened well to my particular circumstances and been flexible and adaptive to suit my busy worklife. TrainingPeaks played a key role here also allowing me to lay out my work commitments in advance and you could tailor the training load and schedule to fit.
So thank you very much for the 2016 season and I look forward to working together again in 2017
I used your 40 week Beginner FULL DISTANCE Program as part of my training for FULL DISTANCE California because it fitted my personal time and commitment goals..
I met every one of my goals. My goals were to finish, to enjoy the experience, and to come out of it injury free. I finished in 15 hours and 3 minutes…exactly where I wanted to be.
FULL DISTANCE was a bucket list item for me, and you helped me check that box! If I need another program for any of my other goals, I will be coming back to you!
Thank you again,
Troy Craig
I just finished my Sprint plan and had my race today. I finished 10 minutes earlier than I had estimated!
Thank you for the help so far and future assistance!!
Nate
The IM plan that I had previously was great – got me through IMNZ in March, taking over an hour off my previous time. This year I went for the intermediate plan rather than a beginner to use the additional swimming and riding to make up for the run. All in all, really happy with the outcome.
Plan:46 week FULL DISTANCE Beginner plan
Progress after 3months: 1st race of the season (Olympic)
Swim: After a chaotic start & 38mins later (my fastest open-water swim) I was on my bike. Which was a breeze. I started the run and was surprised to see that I finished my first mile at 7.30min. Your words "focus on good running form, engage the core, lean forward, land on the ball of the feet" became a mantra. And just like that I had my first sub-3 by a good 7minutes.
Thank you Coach Steve! You rock!
Thanks for all the content you provide to facebook and the effective, affordable training plans you develop. I’ve used a couple Tri plans with great success
2nd B race PB last week at Etape Loch Ness…put 20 mins into last year’s time over 66 miles…thanks again for the plan!
