I’m over the moon finished with 3:09:14 official time ! Massive 21 minute pb from London in April this year ! This plan was fantastic and was exactly what I needed to push the limits. Thank you so much the plan and training went perfectly aswell as the day.
I want to say I liked your training schedule and although I didn’t have to consult you much, it is a good feeling you have a backup. Also your emails with advises and your data which you can consult is good.
When I asked Steve if I could use his logo for my blog he replied yes asked that I share my blog site with him. He had a look at some of my posts and replied his coach senses were tingling. After some coach and athlete banter, we both agreed that based on my goals and this is the first FULL DISTANCE I should move to the intermediate plan.
I have to say it is the best money I have spent!
Steve’s training plans are really well tailored by event, duration, ability and age-group. Following his plan has made a step change to my training. Even though there has been no formal racing of late, I have seen continuous improvements in training ‘test sessions’ and virtual races. It has also been reassuring to have email access to Steve when the questions / doubts / second-guessing can creep in.

Have been training for a number of years under coach Steve and I have to say he is brilliant and very flexible with training sessions. Any questions are answered /cleared up very quickly. Sessions will be planned to your abilities & availability.

I am currently about halfway through your marathon off-season plan, trying to slowly build up my mileage after a rocky year of injury from running, ahead of a marathon block leading into a full distance full-distance block. The plan is going great and I am enjoying the variety and gaining fitness at a good rate without having to push too much in the off-season which is nice

I’ve used Steve’s plans for a few races and find the great. Very well structured and easy to follow. Great for days when you have little motivation and just want to be told what training to do.
Was Coached by Steve in 2019-2020 for FULL DISTANCE Cork. I started off with relatively little triathlon experience. From the get go I knew Steve was an excellent coach, his daily feedback and training progression over the months were unmatched. Just finishing up your 8 week triathlon specific S&C plan – in previous seasons I always tended to end up injured when the running volume built up due to weak claves … but this year – before the real intense stuff starts – must admit I am feeling almost bullet proof – thank you Coach S
Have loved reading the SMartEnduro Community updates and motivational stories over the past year. Have done a few sprints and Olympics during the season but waited until my A race to post. Firstly, thanks to coach Steve for setting out a progressive and challenging training programme. I won’t lie, I didn’t stick to it meticulously but it was great motivation when other things, covid, family, life, posed distractions!!
