Just finishing up one of your excellent Ironman base training plans – FTP up by 10% from start, completed the run test 20 secs faster per km than when I started – feeling strong!!! Thank you Coach Steve …. so now lets talk full plans!!! π
In the past 2 weeks I have set PBs for Watts for 30 and 60 min on the bike, I did my fastest ever 30km on the bike last night (beating my old time by a few minutes, even after running 10km in the stinking hot morning), and I actually feel like a somewhat competent swimmer these days! So overall, I am really happy with the workouts and program in general so THANK YOU!

After a few false starts with race postponements and cancellations due to Covid I really felt the benefit of sticking to Coach Steve’s 70.3 plan as I felt strong and well prepared going into the race. It is a very easy to navigate, varied plan so I didn’t get bored. I could see the progress as I was moving through the base and build phases which also helped with injury prevention. I would highly recommend this and other plans as Steve was available to answer any queries.
I hired Steven to bring more structure and direction to my training, as I had been racing for a few year but not achieving the results I wanted. After a meeting with Steven to discuss my goals for the year, he created a clear plan focusing on the races I wanted to do. I got a detailed plan allowing me to see what was ahead in the next few weeks taking into account personal and work commitments. Steven even managed to update my plan on the fly to accommodate my unpredictable working environment. Steven zoned in on and focused on my run weaknesses and without letting my biking or swimming slide, Steven pushed me to achieve multiple PBβs. I enjoyed the constant monitoring my workouts and commenting with support or a kick start when needed. Steven is a pleasure to work with and makes the whole training planning seem so easy.

And therefore I want to thank you so much for everything. Without your plan and email support I am not sure if I would have finished it⦠on top, I did the IM completely (with my buddy) on my own because all race from Ironman were cancelled because of Corona.
In the end my dream came through on 6.9.2020 after 12:19:52 hrs.

I worked with Steve in preparation for my first Ironman in Cork in 2019. Steve left no stone unturned in getting me to the start line ready for action. He ran a course reccce weekend which was invaluable and shared some super raceway advice. The training plan and coaching was excellent as was the feedback from Steve who was always available. I bought your Olympic program and completed my Olympic yesterday, in a PB of minus 14 mins, I felt great and was delighted.
Your training plan help keep me focussed, made me a fitter and more knowledgeable athlete. I’m looking for my next event now (maybe another middle distance or Olympic) but I will be back to buy a full distance programme later in the year!
