Plan:46 week Ironman Beginner plan
Progress after 3months: 1st race of the season (Olympic)
Swim: After a chaotic start & 38mins later (my fastest open-water swim) I was on my bike. Which was a breeze. I started the run and was surprised to see that I finished my first mile at 7.30min. Your words "focus on good running form, engage the core, lean forward, land on the ball of the feet" became a mantra. And just like that I had my first sub-3 by a good 7minutes.
Thank you Coach Steve! You rock!
Steve’s attention to detail is impeccable! No stone unturned.I did an Olympic triathlon about 7 years ago and said it was my last! Here I am at 53 having just finished one and looking forward to the next one! It’s never too late!Steves coaching in all disciplines helped me more than achieve my goals. Would highly recommend you reach out to him.Always good to have a professional pushing you through to the next level!
Just finishing up your 8 week triathlon specific S&C plan – in previous seasons I always tended to end up injured when the running volume built up due to weak claves … but this year – before the real intense stuff starts – must admit I am feeling almost bullet proof – thank you Coach S
I started using the beginner Ironman program from Steve and found it to be extremely helpful and saw my fitness improve dramatically since then I have moved onto the advanced Ironman program from Steve and have managed PB’s in all three disciplines. Steve has always be approachable via email with any questions and responds quickly. I now have 4 programs by Steve across Ironman and 70.3 distances. Thanks a lot Steve for helping me become better and more importantly faster!
Breast /lung Cancer from 2018 to 2020 chemo/radation 5 surgeries, COVID 3weeks before cork,3 kids working full time ,on the bucket list half ironman, everyone thought I was nuts, Steve didn't he believed in me and made me believe in myself, while it didn't work out on the day and I missed cut off for bike , I got thick and did my own 21 k ,just didn't cross that line , Steve has given me my confidence back, I can't recommend him enough, cork 70.3 2023, 💪💪💪💪

Great plan so far btw!
Plans are detailed and easy to follow and Coach Steve´s support is exceptional. Could definitely see and feel improvement even halfway through the program.
Hello 🙂 I’m halfway through your Olympic distance training plan and decided to celebrate by taking part in a duathlon this past Sunday 🙂 it was a great race & I can’t wait to see how fast I can go on race day in a couple of weeks!
Absolutely love your plan!
Thanks so much 🙂
P.s. Also got to take this shiny thing home with me for AG podium – see picture
I have been using Coach Steve’s maintenance and race prep plans for 9 months. The plans have been great: easy to follow, clear progression and enjoyable. The icing on the cake has been the quick and thoughtful input I have received along the way – invaluable! I have gone from being a middle-of-the pack finisher to qualifying for the 70.3 Ironman World Championship in St George in my last race. 50+ and getting better. I can highly recommend Coach Steve and his plans.
Coach Steve does an incredible job of dialed in training to your specific needs. I am pleased with the program which has enabled me to prepare for my first 70.3. The knowledge that Coach Steve shared has made this process a great experience along with positive motivation/confidence building. I highly recommend this to anyone considering a seamless training program which provides the daily work out up to race day!!
I have seen many different types of leaders in my day – be that soldiers on the front line when I was serving with the United Nations Peacekeeping forces or business owners pulling their people through our recent economic turmoil – some bluff there way and some even falter but then there are those like Steve who just have it, who walk the talk and lead by example. His hard work and dedication forces you to raise your standards and when you are too tired to see this, he inspires you directly with daily and positive encouragement to stay the course and keep on keeping on. He reminds you of that ever so important WHY!! The WHY that gets you out of the bed at 5am to bike in the rain for endless hours. See, he to has that WHY and thats what drives his dedication, to better his craft, to learn more so he can do more and most importantly, give more.
When I first met Steve – yes, I could technically swim and yes, I owned a bike but I had NO business asking someone to get me injury free to the start and finish line of Ironman Barcelona – and in just four months!!
