Hi Coach Steve,
The race was a dream! I finished in 5 hours and 37 min for my first 70.3! I won my age group and got 6th overall female.
I love your plans!
I have just purchased your 12-week plan HALF DISTANCE base/maintenance plan and am really looking forward to it as the plan itself is very clear and well structured. Will keep you posted how I get on.
I completed the Dublin Marathon based off your training plan from June.
My first marathon ( done a couple of halves before) and first time trying running in HR zones rather than just run as fast as you can.
Delighted with my result. Thanks
I used a combination Coach Steve’s Beginner 22 week and 46-week plan in my attempt at the first full distance triathlon. I followed the plan 90% of the time and made sure those long ones on the weekend were completed. I took the recovery weeks in the plan seriously. Even if i felt great, i avoided the temptation to go out for a short run or bike. On race day, I am happy to report, i completed the race with a lot of energy to spare. Thank you Coach Steve!
I joined the program with some sort of hesitation from deviating from my current functional program I follow.
But since joining the SES program my fitness has increased like never before! My body has reacted really well and I canβt wait to see the results on race day.
Steve has been great and made the program super clear and accessible through the online platform.
5 stars from me
For me, a triathlon coach is somebody who not only produces training plans and feedback, but one who encourages one to be your best, to reach your true potential, and treats you equally no matter where you are at in the sport be it a beginner or category 1 triathlete. Steven Moody, definitely ticks those boxes. It has been such a great 11 months, that the journey will continue into 2019 to achieve some more goals!
Great programme. Manageable and enjoyable. Really quick response to email with support and advice. If you follow the plan you can have confidence in your ability to cross the finish line.
I am currently about halfway through your marathon off-season plan, trying to slowly build up my mileage after a rocky year of injury from running, ahead of a marathon block leading into a full distance full-distance block. The plan is going great and I am enjoying the variety and gaining fitness at a good rate without having to push too much in the off-season which is nice
After self-coaching for a few years, I decided to put some purpose and organization into my FULL DISTANCE training, signed up with a plan from Steve, and am very impressed with the layout and attention to detail in the plan. Steve also responds to questions quickly and addresses the issues immediately. I also have a shift pattern work schedule which he helped me figure out.
Highly recommend, if you want to step it up a level!β
I am in the build phase of my second triathlon training with your 12 week intermediate level Oly plan and it has been going swimmingly (as well as bikingly and runningly). My hatβs off to you!
I had the pleasure of racing Barcelona FULL DISTANCE with Steven in 2019. I knew him through friends but he went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed as part of his training group. He gave a lot of very valuable advice in the build. I smashed my PB by 1hr and 30mins doing a sub10hr full-distance, 9hrs 30mins to be exact which qualified me for a PROFESSION TRIATHLETE LICENCE!!! After Barcelona, I signed up to his coaching with the intention to race at FULL DISTANCE South Africa and through a top 6 finish there qualifying for Kona, Hawaii the FULL DISTANCE World Championships, the Holy Grail of FULL DISTANCE. Over the 3 months leading up to the race, Steven had me in amazing shape. I never felt so prepared and ready to race. I was sure I would qualify based on my training numbers and the confidence he had given me. I continue to train with Steven waiting in the long grass for the next opportunity for Kona qualification. For anyone looking for a Triathlon coach long or short course Steven is your man, I can’t recommend him enough. He can be funny too at times but most of all I just enjoy beating him π
I have seen many different types of leaders in my day β be that soldiers on the front line when I was serving with the United Nations Peacekeeping forces or business owners pulling their people through our recent economic turmoil β some bluff there way and some even falter but then there are those like Steve who just have it, who walk the talk and lead by example. His hard work and dedication forces you to raise your standards and when you are too tired to see this, he inspires you directly with daily and positive encouragement to stay the course and keep on keeping on. He reminds you of that ever so important WHY!! The WHY that gets you out of the bed at 5am to bike in the rain for endless hours. See, he to has that WHY and thats what drives his dedication, to better his craft, to learn more so he can do more and most importantly, give more.
When I first met Steve β yes, I could technically swim and yes, I owned a bike but I had NO business asking someone to get me injury free to the start and finish line of FULL DISTANCE Barcelona β and in just four months!!
