I’ve just finished an excellent 70.3 training weekend in Youghal with Steve and Mark.
They took us round the course (including the infamous Windmill Hill!!!) and gave us lots of advice on the course itself, training, nutrition etc .
At best I’m average and I’ll admit I was a bit anxious that the weekend might have been too fast and more for stronger athletes but I was thankfully wrong- we divided into groups and worked together and it was great. And really good fun!!!!!
I purchased your 70.3 plan for beginners on training peaks and I have really been enjoying it! The workouts and structure seem awesome!
Steven set me up with my first 70.3 training plan back in 2015 and I haven’t looked back since. He designed a structured, balanced and personalized plan that enabled me achieve all my goals and far more!
Steven always gave great feedback for my sessions while remaining lighthearted and making sure i stayed grounded!
I would highly recommend his training plans to anyone looking to make gains from whatever level they’re at.
I loved the training plan provided!
I really liked the construction of the plan and how I could adapt it to my personal life. The team is great and answers quickly.
This was my 1st time on one of these camps. Overall the camp was excellent, from the comms prior to the camp, whatsapp group messages leading up to and during the weekend, topics covered, planning sessions (including due to weather changes) and the great atmosphere within the group during the camp.
Both coaches were very knowledgeable, approachable and chilled.
I would recommend one of Coach Steve's camps to anyone looking to gain confidence, insight or a kick in the a** prior to their race.
Training plans as good if not better than any others on the market!
Knocked out my first 70.3 this morning. Came in a little over 10 minutes under my goal of 5:30. Next to the training plan, Coach Steve’s webinar on nutrition and fueling was the most helpful tool for me. Couldn’t have had a better day thanks to all the tools and info available.
The PBhitsquad Zooms are great. I will learn a lot over these next few months so thank you very much for that.
Being a complete novice in the triathlon world, I thought what better way to ease myself in to it than doing a full Ironman. I knew immediately I needed some form of guidance and I am so glad I came across Steve and his various detailed training plans. Even if purchasing a standalone plan, Steve has been on hand to return my emails and give me answers to the many questions I have had.
It's very apparent that Steve is dedicated in his coaching and I wouldn't look anywhere else for help/coaching.

Coach Steve is not for everyone! He’s not for you if you you need a pep talk every 5 mins!
He IS for you if you want detailed feedback, advice based on data, the facts! He is highly motivated and efficient, but he is also a sound listening board and a great mentor. What I found great is that he’s not afraid to stop the plan tailor the changes specifically for you!
Trust in the plan and the performance will follow! Everyone needs a ‘Coach Steve’!
Really impressed with the training so far. I bought my 70.3 Intermediate plan for my upcoming 70.3 (NC) and I have to say, I’m impressed.
In 14 weeks I have raised my FTP from 198 to 243, I have improved my Time Trail Swimming from 2:10 to 1:42 and all because I have followed as close as possible (with life commitments) the plan from Coach Steve.
He does know what he is talking, he is super approachable and you can ask questions when in doubt, ask for guidance. He is great!
Have loved reading the SMartEnduro Community updates and motivational stories over the past year. Have done a few sprints and Olympics during the season but waited until my A race to post. Firstly, thanks to coach Steve for setting out a progressive and challenging training programme. I won’t lie, I didn’t stick to it meticulously but it was great motivation when other things, covid, family, life, posed distractions!!
