Hello Coach Steve,
I am delighted to inform that I crossed the 70.3 Weymouth finish line in my personal best of 7 hrs 21 mins and 11 seconds.
I am really happy with the result, your training plan helped. All in all, a very satisfying result. And also a demonstration that I can push more and look to bring that time to sub 7.
The 70.3 training plan from Steve was brilliant and was key to completing my first 70.3. The balance of set training days alongside rest was perfectly balanced and fitted my family/work life without much stress. Steve was great at answering my e-mailed questions almost immediately and I have already been in touch to discuss my next plan for an Ironman Full which shows how good Steve and his plans are! Highly recommend to anyone starting their Triathlon journey!
70.3 done! And an age group podium to boot (which got bumped up to 2nd in the official results!!!)
The balance of training that allows me to run that fast (for me) off the bike seems like a mystic art!!
Thanks CS
Just writing a short post to say thanks Steve for your training plan for my first 70.3 which was Outlaw Bowood. You patiently entertained many of my e-mails in the beginning when I was unsure about beginner or intermediate and helped me go for latter. Glad I did!
So today came in with a 6:12 time which considering on the run little of it is flat I was delighted with.
Have loved reading the SMartEnduro Community updates and motivational stories over the past year. Have done a few sprints and Olympics during the season but waited until my A race to post. Firstly, thanks to coach Steve for setting out a progressive and challenging training programme. I won’t lie, I didn’t stick to it meticulously but it was great motivation when other things, covid, family, life, posed distractions!!
Thanks for tips on the journey Steve. I couldn’t stick to planned training with life/work, but improvised a little . Oh and got 6th in over 60 age category
Thanks for the support on Saturday Coach. Was an epic experience!!
Race went beter than expected, swim pace was higher than planned (think it was with the tide though) and the bike splits were solid and managed a sub 3 hr ride while keeping the HR sensible. Run started ok, hoping to find my legs towards the end, but didn’t. Still happy with my time of 5:32. Glad I followed your advice and tips!!
Breast /lung Cancer from 2018 to 2020 chemo/radation 5 surgeries, COVID 3weeks before cork,3 kids working full time ,on the bucket list half ironman, everyone thought I was nuts, Steve didn't he believed in me and made me believe in myself, while it didn't work out on the day and I missed cut off for bike , I got thick and did my own 21 k ,just didn't cross that line , Steve has given me my confidence back, I can't recommend him enough, cork 70.3 2023, 💪💪💪💪
I loved the training plan provided!
I really liked the construction of the plan and how I could adapt it to my personal life. The team is great and answers quickly.
With this time I became 4th in my AG (36 woman) AND I won a slot for the IM70.3 WC in St. George End of October! What a great success
Thanks again for your guidance and your training plan.
Thank you so much, Coach Steve, for your support. Great tips on pre and race day which were very helpful.
After a couple weeks break, I'll be back at it and have some goals to reach. Would appreciate some advice on best training program to be ready for Santa Cruz and crush that course
