I started in September with a training program of 14 weeks with 5 sessions per week. I followed everything as faithfully as possible and learned a lot from it. I already knew that I enjoyed variety, but there were some new training forms in there for me. I also found out that training at a very low heart rate really works.
I crossed the finish line in 2:07:26. Definitely a successful weekend.
If you do what this coach tells you, I promise you you will go further, faster and feel better than you did before.
I have previously achieved significant improvements and PBs at HALF DISTANCE and full IM. This year I have returned to the Boss and in a very short time I am seeing benefits. I feel motivated to train, and I can’t wait to see what my race results are going to be.

Using your plan got me through my first FULL DISTANCE event in Wales, Tenby on the 15th of September.
Only 1 or two changes were made to the plan because of weather or pool being closed, a good 95% or more of the workouts were completed as expected. No injury, no excessive fatigue – fantastic, thank you!
As a first time triathlete, I can definitely recommend the training plans of Steve. Over the last 6 months I’ve tried to do everything myself, but couldn’t see the wood for the trees. Which zone calculator to use? Which sessions actually work? How make sure not to undertrain? How not to overtrain? Steve’s training plans are straightforward and take all that guesswork out of it. Big bonus: the extremely fast responses to emails (24/7 it seems, do you even sleep?!) really help with all the little details that you usually just gloss over and provide even more peace of mind during training. All in all highly recommended!
Training to a plan built by someone who knows what they’re talking about has made a huge difference. For me having the structure outlined by Steven was motivating, but more importantly it has improved my enjoyment of racing and without-doubt has improved my times. I have had sprint and olympic PBs already this season and with Dublin HALF DISTANCE on the horizon I am confident of a PB at that distance too.
Had a great weekend in Cork with Steve and Neill . Very informative weekend and worth every penny . Really gave me an insight as to where I’m at and set my mind at rest in relation to some fears I had about the bike course . Defitily worth the trip . Steve very professional and no question was left unanswered

Loved this plan. Completed the sprint in the middle of the pack instead of back of the pack which I had done previously. Life changing having these goals in many ways. Steve is a dude and I can see myself doing a lot more of his plans. 🙏🙂
I've found SMART ENDURANCE SOLUTIONS HALF DISTANCE plans to work really well for me. I've seen my results improve while following his plans. It takes the "thinking / overthinking" out of the training process and I just have to do the sessions and trust in the process. Steve replies quickly to my queries and always has helpful advice when needed. He was able to design a custom plan which was tailored to my strengths and accounted for my club swim sessions, Zwift sessions and solo runs. Thanks!
A wonderful training plan that fits in with my busy work lifestyle. The sessions are well prepared and well thought of with many little bits of advice along the way. The guidance will get you through to race day leaving you with much confidence, meaning you only need to remember to bring your kit! I found Steve’s training plan originally on training peaks, and have used these training plans to get me to FULL DISTANCE UK and FULL DISTANCE Portugal this year, Steve advice, experience and guidance enable me to finish FULL DISTANCE Portugal in a time that I could originally only dream of. Steve webinars on YouTube and really helped prepare for the races, preparing me for what to expect on race day, the training plan was easy to follow and gave me accountability ensuring I was ready for race day. The IM plan that I had previously was great – got me through IMNZ in March, taking over an hour off my previous time. This year I went for the intermediate plan rather than a beginner to use the additional swimming and riding to make up for the run. All in all, really happy with the outcome.
