Finishing up on your Inter IM Base plan and feeling great – FTP up, CSS down and avg LTHR for the run down!
Onto the full 36 week plan for Cork now!
Thank you for the training plan. I placed second in my age group in my sprint triathlon yesterday.
Just finishing up one of your excellent Ironman base training plans – FTP up by 10% from start, completed the run test 20 secs faster per km than when I started – feeling strong!!! Thank you Coach Steve …. so now lets talk full plans!!! π
Happy new week! I wanted to share I took part in my first Olympic triathlon last week and got 3rd place in my age group. More importantly, is that I felt strong and comfortable during the event which was my goal! The placing was an added bonus
Just finishing up your 8 week triathlon specific S&C plan – in previous seasons I always tended to end up injured when the running volume built up due to weak claves … but this year – before the real intense stuff starts – must admit I am feeling almost bullet proof – thank you Coach S
Loved the plan – it has taught me a lot and put me on track to compete in my first tri race (olympic).Β
Was Coached by Steve in 2019-2020 for Ironman Cork. I started off with relatively little triathlon experience. From the get go I knew Steve was an excellent coach, his daily feedback and training progression over the months were unmatched. I went from feeling like an ironman was an impossible task to aiming for times which I could only dream of before starting with Steve. One of the Best things about been coached by Steve, was his flexibility, which helped with my line of work. Highly recommend
Well I'm the guy a coach doesn't want or need .
Can't get my shit together can't get motivated or maybe I should say can't get motivated without a kick in the arse from coach Moody who never gives up on me.
Coach Moody adjusts and readjusts my programme to where my head is at while all the time giving me a reason to stay with it when I want to just Jack it all in .
I would most certainly be in a worse head space without coach sticking it out with me .
Thanks coach this time I'll get it done
Was nervous training for my first tri – but emailed Coach with some questions and soon was on his beginner sprint plan – it was much less confusing then – I followed the instructions and get more and more confident as I did – and before I knew it 12 weeks later I was a triathlete! Thanks CS
Hey Steve,
Just wanted to say a huge thanks for the IM course and question-answering service!
I started one of your 10 month IM training programmes back in October shortly after doing my first marathon. Today I ran the Inverness half marathon as my first B race and smashed my PB @ half marathon by 7.5mins at 1:46:28…felt like I still had some in the legs at the end. I ran the same course last march in 2:08 before I started all the training
Just writing a short post to say thanks Steve for your training plan for my first 70.3 which was Outlaw Bowood. You patiently entertained many of my e-mails in the beginning when I was unsure about beginner or intermediate and helped me go for latter. Glad I did!
So today came in with a 6:12 time which considering on the run little of it is flat I was delighted with.
I approached Coach Steve from Smartendurancesolutions back in September, as I wanted to have a second opinion on how structured marathon training would work for me β so I bought his advanced marathon plan. From the beginning Coach Steve was very friendly and answered lightning fast all the questions I had- although Iβm a decent runner with a pb of 2:51 on the marathon β regardless the question, he was there with a good advice or a joke π. Truth is that for those 35 usd paid on the plan you just get more then that β so once this marathon plan is completed, Iβll continue working with Steve on my next goal β sub 10h IM (currently sitting at 10h, with a pb of 10:01 and several other around 10:15). Bottom line β Iβm very happy with the choice I made and canβt recommend Smartendurancesolutions enough.
