If you are starting out in the game of endurance events or are looking to up your game Steven is the coach for you. He has a simple, common sense approach based on his own career of highs and lows. He is a curious coach and extensively researches his coaching practice so the client gets a great experience.
I was looking for a long-term Ironman training plan. Only coach Steve offers such a program (48 weeks, shorter ones are also available). Before purchasing the plan I asked him which plan would be better for me (There are advanced, intermediate, and beginner plans). Steve took the time to understand my fitness level and needs, before recommending a plan (intermediate). He was also very responsive and answered all my questions rapidly and in detail: He not only provides you an answer but also explains why he gave that answer, which is very useful. The plan itself is well thought and the workouts are clearly explained which is important to perform them efficiently.
I highly recommend coach Steve. Knowing that you can count on an expert is highly motivating.
Thanks so much (for guidance on best plan to choose) and love the plan already
Just a few weeks out from my first 70.3. Coach Steve has helped me keep motivated and as best prepared anyone could ask for. Great tips , advice all the way through.
Definitely going on another plan under Steve’s guidance.
I'm doing my 5th full IM this year – IMCA and chose Coach Steve's plan as I liked the longer duration and the 50+ training plan – 2 weeks hard, 1 lighter week. I had a complication tho as I'm doing the St George 70.3 WC in mid Sept then have 2.5 weeks of travel between St George and IMCA. Coach Steve came up with a revised plan that allowed for my race, recovery, travel and then enough key workouts to be ready for IMCA.
A great job, very responsive and I highly recommend him as a Coach!
Steve organised a fantastic weekend, steve along with Mark covered the swim, bike and run courses, advice on transitions, nutrition, fuelling on the go. Plus advice on training on lead up to the event. Couldn't ask for more for a triathlete to newbie Ironman competitor. Have the confidence compete on race day, bring it on!
Previously coached by Steve in 2016 when undertaking Full IM training. 5 years, 3 kids and a few stone later I'm back working with Steve, training towards Ironman Cork 70.3 in August 2021. Steve has tailored my training excellently to allow for family and work commitments as well as dilligently managing my training load to reduce the risk of injury and allow consistent progress. As ever, Steve is personable, easy going and flexible, always putting the athlete first. Would highly recommend!
Steve is very responsive, very quick at setting up plans and always listens to his clients needs. Nothing is too much trouble ! Thanks Steve
I first contacted Steve in 2019 for some coaching and remember phoning him for an initial chat to scope out my options. He insisted that he should come around in person, for a kick start meeting. I was immediately impressed with his enthusiasm and passion for what he does. Since then, I've managed to complete my first full ironman last year and am currently following one of Steve's intermediate IM programs to prepare for Cork IM. I would have no problem recommending him anyone.
I purchased your plan [Adv 48 week Ironman] on Monday and wanted to let you know how pleased I am so far with the thought and detail that has gone into this plan
Just a quick note to say thank you very much for your training plan and advices.
I completed IM Barcelona on 3 October. I’m sure you’ve heard that the swim was cut short which was a pity. However, it was the toughest swim I have ever done. The bike proved harder than expected because of a head wind. I had been hoping for a 6 hour bike but did it in 6.30. The run went as well as I could have expected as I knocked about 20 minutes or so off my previous time.
The (IRONMAN BOLTON) course is brutal and the wind made it even worse, but it’s done now. It’s been a perfect training plan it worked and worked amazing around my life with uni. Honestly it’s been an amazing plan
