Being a complete novice in the triathlon world, I thought what better way to ease myself in to it than doing a full Ironman. I knew immediately I needed some form of guidance and I am so glad I came across Steve and his various detailed training plans. Even if purchasing a standalone plan, Steve has been on hand to return my emails and give me answers to the many questions I have had.
It's very apparent that Steve is dedicated in his coaching and I wouldn't look anywhere else for help/coaching.
We are working through the beginner aquabike plan and loving it! It's amazing so thank you!
I just thought I would drop you a line to say thank you for your help in the build-up to my first Ironman. It was a big big help having a structured plan to follow and it’s been a massive learning curve these last twelve months.
So I actually finished the damn thing, amazing really!!, was doubting myself a bit at the start line but I had a FANTASTIC day in Barcelona. It was an experience I think I will remember forever, and I enjoyed it so much I reckon I’m going back next year!!! 🙂 I’ve been well and truly bitten by the tri bug.
I started this program having never ran over 6 miles, longest bike was 30 miles. And no swimming. I lagged behind on the swim and running. My fault of course. I enjoyed having the structure of the workouts. I emailed the coach a few times and they are fast to answer any questions! The runs and bikes loaded into Garmin watch. Completed my first Olympic Tri. Would recommend these workouts plans.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought my first training plan. I didn’t even really believe Coach Steve would actually email me promptly and answer my concerns. But, I needed a plan and his fit me. Not only did his plan lead to me finishing 21 minutes under goal time, but he always was there to answer any question I had. I was so thrilled with his plan that I have purchased one of his 70.3 plans and have great confidence it will again lead me to success.
Breast /lung Cancer from 2018 to 2020 chemo/radation 5 surgeries, COVID 3weeks before cork,3 kids working full time ,on the bucket list half ironman, everyone thought I was nuts, Steve didn't he believed in me and made me believe in myself, while it didn't work out on the day and I missed cut off for bike , I got thick and did my own 21 k ,just didn't cross that line , Steve has given me my confidence back, I can't recommend him enough, cork 70.3 2023, 💪💪💪💪
Vancouver triathlon (olympic) was today for me with a PB, despite being with minimal sleep and training in the past 40 days (baby was born)! I haven't received the results yet but I am happy with the experience and my performance! Felt good passing some people with Team Canada jerseys on that bike! Thanks again Coach Steve for the support!
I used a Training Plan from Coach Steve to finish my first 140.6 IRONMAN in Zurich Switzerland this year and it worked out perfectly. Despite some heavy GI issues during the swim and halfway through the bike split I was able to finish, also thanks to the prep I did following his plan. Easy written, structured, clever, and with less time effort but better results… would always come back. Thank you so much Steve!
After self-coaching for a few years, I decided to put some purpose and organization into my Ironman training, signed up with a plan from Steve, and am very impressed with the layout and attention to detail in the plan. Steve also responds to questions quickly and addresses the issues immediately. I also have a shift pattern work schedule which he helped me figure out.
Highly recommend, if you want to step it up a level!”
I have purchased and been working through your Ironman 70.3 beginner training programme. It has been brilliant so far, I have been really enjoying it.
I'm doing my 5th full IM this year – IMCA and chose Coach Steve's plan as I liked the longer duration and the 50+ training plan – 2 weeks hard, 1 lighter week. I had a complication tho as I'm doing the St George 70.3 WC in mid Sept then have 2.5 weeks of travel between St George and IMCA. Coach Steve came up with a revised plan that allowed for my race, recovery, travel and then enough key workouts to be ready for IMCA.
A great job, very responsive and I highly recommend him as a Coach!
Coach Steve’s 70.3 training plan not only got me to the finish line on my first 70.3 Ironman event, but managed to prepare me well enough to beat my expected 6 hours by 22 minutes!
Will most definately stick to SMart Endurance for my next event.
