Vancouver triathlon (olympic) was today for me with a PB, despite being with minimal sleep and training in the past 40 days (baby was born)! I haven't received the results yet but I am happy with the experience and my performance! Felt good passing some people with Team Canada jerseys on that bike! Coach Steve put together a comprehensive training plan for 70.3 Mallorca. Steve took the time to make sure the plan takes into account Christmas break, my other commitments (college) and B races along the way. I’m really happy with it and started training this week with only 20 weeks to go to the race. Bring it on!!!

I've been doing Olympic and Sprint tri's for a few years and decided to make the step up to 70.3 this year. Coach Steve's training plan is clear, easy to follow and most important, accessible. I was overwhelmed with the idea of building my own plan and found some plans on the interwebs to be very confusing. I love that Coach Steve's plan workouts that repeat week after week while slowly increasing in volume and pace; it makes it very accessible and feels manageable. I'm more fit than ever!
Just a big old thank you for the recent PB in my latest 70.3! Got over a little panic attack in the swim (partly thanks to the advice on the visualisation to help me get my mind in the game – mainly down to me MTFU ;-)) , smashed my bike and held it together for the run! I will be in touch re the next challenge – Ironman Barcelona in 2022!
Thanks for answering my training plan query so quickly … Ran my fastest 1km during a 10km run, and just increased my FTP on the bike (by 5%) last night on the bike trainer without me pushing to do it….just happened.
So I am excited to see where this all ends up in a few months
I am entering the second week of the beginner 12 week Olympic distance triathlon plan. Really enjoying it so far.
Great plan! Gives you also excellent base fitness to participate half marathons and sub 5 hr cycling events.
