thank you for the 70.3 plan I am loving it đ
I just finished your BEGINNER Olympic 12-week training plan and finished my first triathlon yesterday (had a flat tyre though so had to walk to T2) but felt really strong and still finished my run with a good tempo. Your training plan definitely helped me achieve that!
Have loved reading the SMartEnduro Community updates and motivational stories over the past year. Have done a few sprints and Olympics during the season but waited until my A race to post. Firstly, thanks to coach Steve for setting out a progressive and challenging training programme. I wonât lie, I didnât stick to it meticulously but it was great motivation when other things, covid, family, life, posed distractions!!
Following the training plan worked like a charm, no surprises on race day
Thanks Steven @ SMart Endurance Solutions, this is a great plan well structured and easy to follow. I followed this plan missing the odd session here and there, but with the aid of proper nutrition I got new sprint PB and to make it even better i got a 5km run PB aswell in the same race.
I've been boosting to my friends about this. The Olympic will be my next adventure for a new PB.
I’ve never signed up to a structured training plan before.
So for me your plan & the structure & Trainingpeaks is great motivation. Trying to get those boxes to go green keeps me on my toes.
I really like the way the plan is laid out. Eg the swims are normally on the same days of the week, so it’s easier to plan them.
I already feel fitter & stronger than I have in a long time…..so the plan works đ
Thanks Coach Steve for the great plan. I completed my 1st Marathon the United States Coast Guard Marathon as a veteran this was very special to me to complete. After shopping an overwhelming amount of beginner marathon plans on TrainingPeaks your plan âBeginners Marathon for Off Season Triathletesâ was the perfect fit for me. My run base was pretty good but I have a hard time recovering from tons of running. This is what made this plan perfect for me was adding in the swim and bike between runs
Thanks for the support on Saturday Coach. Was an epic experience!!
Race went beter than expected, swim pace was higher than planned (think it was with the tide though) and the bike splits were solid and managed a sub 3 hr ride while keeping the HR sensible. Run started ok, hoping to find my legs towards the end, but didnât. Still happy with my time of 5:32. Glad I followed your advice and tips!!
After 2 years of Covid cancellations , I finally made it to the start line of the 2022 Port Macquarie 70.3 Ironman. It was hard to stay motivated through Covid lockdowns and weeks of rain, but Steve's program kept me focused and gave me a realistic training load and intensity. I realised I'd been overtraining, and Steve's program taught me the value of low heart rate sessions. I was impressed with Steve's quick response to emails and his reassuring and helpful advice. Thanks Steve!
Great plan! I had a 12 min PR on exact same course from 2 yrs ago. Even in some hot conditions I met all my goals and felt confident and strong the entire race. I felt the plan was very efficient and effective for someone wanting to be competitive in AG. I already purchased the middle distance plan with big goals for that one as well. Thankful!!!
Just by way of saying thank for being my coach during my time leading up to the Ironman Triathlon in Barcelona in Oct 2016.
During this time I found you very knowledgeable and helpful on providing advice and structure on the training plan you set for me. The detail was very helpful in understanding what was required both from each of the training session as well as the delivery of the race day performance. Your knowledge experience and understanding of the requirements showcased your knowledge of the sport and Ironman distance racing.
Awesome service, with creation of a plan for the Swedish weather, a pile of encouragement and humour to calm my first IM nerves. Kalmar 2019 here I come. Thank coach Steve
