I used a combination Coach Steve's Beginner 22 week and 46-week plan in my attempt at the first full distance triathlon. I followed the plan 90% of the time and made sure those long ones on the weekend were completed. I took the recovery weeks in the plan seriously. Even if i felt great, i avoided the temptation to go out for a short run or bike. On race day, I am happy to report, i completed the race with a lot of energy to spare. Thank you Coach Steve!
As someone who needs structure to my training I found working with Steve invaluable. Constant feedback helped keep me focused and when I was unfortunate to pick up an injury we worked together to ensure training was back on track.

I've found SMART ENDURANCE SOLUTIONS HALF DISTANCE plans to work really well for me. I've seen my results improve while following his plans. It takes the "thinking / overthinking" out of the training process and I just have to do the sessions and trust in the process. Steve replies quickly to my queries and always has helpful advice when needed. He was able to design a custom plan which was tailored to my strengths and accounted for my club swim sessions, Zwift sessions and solo runs. Thanks!

I have been using Coach Steve’s maintenance and race prep plans for 9 months. The plans have been great: easy to follow, clear progression and enjoyable. The icing on the cake has been the quick and thoughtful input I have received along the way – invaluable! I have gone from being a middle-of-the pack finisher to qualifying for the HALF DISTANCE FULL DISTANCE World Championship in St George in my last race. 50+ and getting better. I can highly recommend Coach Steve and his plans.
I first contacted Steve in 2019 for some coaching and remember phoning him for an initial chat to scope out my options. He insisted that he should come around in person, for a kick start meeting. I was immediately impressed with his enthusiasm and passion for what he does. Since then, I've managed to complete my first full full-distance last year and am currently following one of Steve's intermediate IM programs to prepare for Cork IM. I would have no problem recommending him anyone.

It was my first HALF DISTANCE with a few Sprints and 1 Olympic already done. Found the plan easy to follow and any questions I had were promptly answered. Highly recommend
I’ve just finished an excellent HALF DISTANCE training weekend in Youghal with Steve and Mark.
They took us round the course (including the infamous Windmill Hill!!!) and gave us lots of advice on the course itself, training, nutrition etc .
At best I’m average and I’ll admit I was a bit anxious that the weekend might have been too fast and more for stronger athletes but I was thankfully wrong- we divided into groups and worked together and it was great. And really good fun!!!!!
