I am in the build phase of my second triathlon training with your 12 week intermediate level Oly plan and it has been going swimmingly (as well as bikingly and runningly). My hat’s off to you!
Loved the plan – it has taught me a lot and put me on track to compete in my first tri race (olympic).

A great plan for an absolute beginner, got me over the line. I had never done a triathlon before and went from zero to HALF DISTANCE with the 28 week beginners plan.
Admittedly as a total beginner the plan can get hectic but it's easy to edit if you need to (e.g. due to illness or injury). I was very appreciative of the email access to Coach Steve because as a beginner I had a hape of questions and all were answered with great help given.
Reusing the plan for 2023. Bought the full IM plan for 2024!
Last year I set a goal to race in FULL DISTANCE Western Australia. Considering at that stage I was 122kg and hadn’t raced in 9 years, it was a big ask.
I needed a plan.
Through Training Peaks, I discovered a 48 week FULL DISTANCE plan for beginners offered by Coach Steve. The plan was reasonably priced for the duration and detail and offered support via email.
Had i of known how much support, the timeliness of the support and the quality of the support before I signed up, I’d had thought I was getting the too good to be true plan.
Steve is FABULOUS!
He has been a wonderful support over the last 9 months. He has been patient with my questions, all 3000 of them. His advice has been wonderful and his encouragement has been appreciated.
So brilliant has Steve been over my journey to date, when my FULL DISTANCE was cancelled and I deferred to FULL DISTANCE Cairns in June, Steve was the first I emailed to lock in a new HALF DISTANCE plan to take me to Geelong HALF DISTANCE in February and on to my first FULL DISTANCE in 2021.
Today I’m fitter than I’ve ever been and thanks to the super easy to follow plan that builds progressively and which is achievable each week, I am also 27kgs lighter.

The (FULL DISTANCE BOLTON) course is brutal and the wind made it even worse, but it’s done now. It’s been a perfect training plan it worked and worked amazing around my life with uni. Honestly it’s been an amazing plan
I did your Olympic 8 week training plan before (which was 8 weeks after my first marathon) and loved it! That is why I bought a second one 🤗
I just thought I would drop you a line to say thank you for your help in the build-up to my first FULL DISTANCE. It was a big big help having a structured plan to follow and it’s been a massive learning curve these last twelve months.
So I actually finished the damn thing, amazing really!!, was doubting myself a bit at the start line but I had a FANTASTIC day in Barcelona. It was an experience I think I will remember forever, and I enjoyed it so much I reckon I’m going back next year!!! 🙂 I’ve been well and truly bitten by the tri bug.
Awesome plan with structured workouts I was able to follow on Zwift. Finished 25 minutes faster than my previous Olympic event and feeling even better. I already purchased the HALF DISTANCE plan form Coach Steve. I will definitely recommend Coach Steve training plans for all distances and athletes level.
Coach Steve has been coaching me this year, he has delivered a quality personalised training and recovery program that allows me to maintain a healthy work, life AND training balance. Steven is by far the most attentive coach I know. Feedback on sessions can be almost instant, there are times when there are comments coming in via TrainingPeaks or WhatsApp before I have realised a session has been uploaded. Most of all Steven’s enthusiasm and love for the sport comes through to his athletes, this makes all of the hardship fun.
I purchased the 12 week HALF DISTANCE Advanced training plan. It was easy to follow, Coach Steve was very responsive & helpful via email – overall excellent value for money!
Being able to reorder sessions in TrainingPeaks is very useful, so recommend the Premium plan (which you get free for 30 days).
Following this plan allowed me to take 25 mins off my HALF DISTANCE PB (despite missing run sessions due to injury) – that says it all! Thanks Coach Steve 🙂
