Another 70.3 race done and would not have been able to finish without the support and guidance of Coach Steve (CS).
I had an injury at the beginning of the year and wasn’t able to run for two months. CS help to tailor my plan to allow for the reduction in running which allowed me to focus on my bike and swim. Before the race I felt in the best running condition of the last 18 months.
Cairns of course made it difficult but I learnt so much.
CS will be there to help me to Ironman 2022.
I have done 2 Ironman races and both occasions I have used Ironman training plans from Coach Steve.
His plans are well thought out and are crafted to fit into the hectic schedule of family life while at the same time getting you fit and ready to take on the race. I found Coach Steve very obliging and helpful whenever I had questions or just needed a little encouragement.
The biggest compliment I can pay is that I’ll be back to him when planning another Ironman.
Since we teamed up your coaching and advice has made a major difference & improvement to my training. Your analysis has highlighted instances where I was overtraining, brought a focus and rationale to training in the correct HR zones which has developed my endurance. Your coaching has also introduced proper periodization to my training. Crucially having you coaching me has taken away the usual second guessing that goes with setting one’s own training schedule. On the journey I have found that you listened well to my particular circumstances and been flexible and adaptive to suit my busy worklife. TrainingPeaks played a key role here also allowing me to lay out my work commitments in advance and you could tailor the training load and schedule to fit.

I’ve tried a few different plans in the past & Steve is most def a coach who listens & will be sure to identify what your base, strengths and weaknesses are to come up with a solution that works best for you. Steve is open to adjust the plan & offers advice when life gets in the way. A lot to be said for a SMart plan that works around your life & the goals you’ve set for yourself no matter how challenging they are.
I completed my first 70.3 this week. Thank you so much for the beginner training plan! The event was a blast, and I surprisingly completed/finished feeling strong. I was actually amazed that I was not tired during the run and I owe a lot of that to your plan. I am already browsing what other plans you have out there!
I purchased a plan on TrainingPeaks from Steve for my first Ironman race coming up later this year and so far am very impressed with its structure, variety, and detail.
Steve has also been very quick to respond to any queries or questions I have.
I will definitely be recommending him to friends looking for good quality, structured coaching
I have been using Coach Steve’s maintenance and race prep plans for 9 months. The plans have been great: easy to follow, clear progression and enjoyable. The icing on the cake has been the quick and thoughtful input I have received along the way – invaluable! I have gone from being a middle-of-the pack finisher to qualifying for the 70.3 Ironman World Championship in St George in my last race. 50+ and getting better. I was looking for a long-term Ironman training plan. Only coach Steve offers such a program (48 weeks, shorter ones are also available). Before purchasing the plan I asked him which plan would be better for me (There are advanced, intermediate, and beginner plans). Steve took the time to understand my fitness level and needs, before recommending a plan (intermediate). He was also very responsive and answered all my questions rapidly and in detail: He not only provides you an answer but also explains why he gave that answer, which is very useful. The plan itself is well thought and the workouts are clearly explained which is important to perform them efficiently.
I highly recommend coach Steve. Knowing that you can count on an expert is highly motivating.

This year I had a successful season thanks to the corona virus. I was even 3rd at the Czech Ironman Championships and I improved my maximum
In the past 2 weeks I have set PBs for Watts for 30 and 60 min on the bike, I did my fastest ever 30km on the bike last night (beating my old time by a few minutes, even after running 10km in the stinking hot morning), and I actually feel like a somewhat competent swimmer these days! So overall, I am really happy with the workouts and program in general so THANK YOU!
