Delighted with my recent half-marathon result considering the lead-in and the lack of speed sessions
I really enjoyed the structure and I’ve already bought one of your 20-week plans for the Dublin marathon so that starts mid-June
Coach Steve’s FULL DISTANCE training plan was very practical and worked well for me.
Coach Steve’s plan looks very simple at first, but after a few weeks of execution, I found out that it worked for me, my muscle endurance continued to increase, I felt happy and accomplished,
I completed my first FULL DISTANCE in Klagenfurt, Austria, using the 6-month training plan. Working 50 hours a week, the plan is well-designed and with enough flexibility to be able to balance training with a demanding work schedule.
Coach Steve was always very responsive to questions and provided constructive advice based on my personal performance needs, and the metrics dashboard provided helpful insights into progress. I look forward to using Smart Endurance Solutions for future races!
Hello Coach Steve – I wanted to email you and tell you I really enjoyed your triathlon-specific strength and conditioning plan – I already feel stronger on the bike and run … as soon as I am able to swim – hoping to see benefits there too – it is a good plan – Gracias
I approached Coach Steve from Smartendurancesolutions back in September, as I wanted to have a second opinion on how structured marathon training would work for me – so I bought his advanced marathon plan. From the beginning Coach Steve was very friendly and answered lightning fast all the questions I had- although I’m a decent runner with a pb of 2:51 on the marathon – regardless the question, he was there with a good advice or a joke 😉. Truth is that for those 35 usd paid on the plan you just get more then that – so once this marathon plan is completed, I’ll continue working with Steve on my next goal – sub 10h IM (currently sitting at 10h, with a pb of 10:01 and several other around 10:15). Bottom line – I’m very happy with the choice I made and can’t recommend Smartendurancesolutions enough.
I’m on your 10 month FULL DISTANCE Training plan with my targeted A race as FULL DISTANCE Copenhagen in August. I’d baked in a few races on the lead up and today I completed the final B race…”Lakesman 1/2″ down in Keswick..my first HALF DISTANCE distance Tri. Time 5:35:54. For some context last march I did a half marathon in 2:08! Joining your program was honestly the best decision…massive gain in fitness and a fair few pounds off aswell. I just wanted to say thanks again, Steve.
Used the “Marathon Intermediate 12 week plan – 40 – 70 km per week” and it brought me from a 4hr16 marathon to a 3hr25 marathon. Great plan and easy to follow. Volume is sufficient and not too much and therefore I managed to stay injury free.
I worked with Steve to train for my first full-distance FULL DISTANCE. I got tailored specific feedback on every session, which helped me ramp up my training volume, avoid injury and build fitness. I went into the race feeling confident about my plan, all three disciplines and the race itself. Steve’s coaching took the guesswork and stress of out competing in an FULL DISTANCE, and I plan to work with him again. Highly recommended!
I am a first-timer. Your plan has helped me so much
I am following the Advanced FULL DISTANCE Program for my next race, and I am extremely happy with the results. The detailed training plan has helped me to not only improve my fitness, but also my confidence. Steve's timely answers to my few questions have been always very clear to understand. His advice has been key for me to develop my skills and enhance my knowledge. I feel fully prepared for my next FULL DISTANCE and I would recommend this program to any advanced athlete.
I’m 11 weeks into my 46 weeks Beginner FULL DISTANCE plan. This is my first try at training for a triathlon. What I liked even before purchasing this plan is that I could write an email for coach Steve and get answers for all my concerns. At the time I was in ~4h marathon shape, had some past experience in cycling, and almost no experience in swimming, so we decided that a Beginner plan will suit me the best. At first, it felt that running volume is really low and I’m detraining in my strongest triathlon discipline but in few weeks when cycling volume ramped up those thoughts disappeared. Actually, having less running and more cycling keeps me away from running injuries and I’m faster now than I ever was. I’m probably not in marathon shape anymore but there are 35 weeks of the plan left with plenty of 20+km long runs. Another thing that I liked is tests for HR zones for cycling and running. Finally! Finally, I’m training in zones that i feel are right. In the past, I’ve recalculated my zones using different approaches at least 5 times and they always felt off. Now I feel that I’m really training in the zone that workout prescribes. Swimming. I can’t really talk about that because I’ve only swum for the first few weeks of the plan then due to quarantine all pools were closed, I’ve switched to strength and mobility workouts instead. Last thing. Coach Steve quickly answers all my questions, e.g. what to do when the pool closes, what is the best approach to brick workout, and so on. Overall I feel confident that following this plan I will be an FULL DISTANCE finisher.
I purchased your plan [Adv 48 week FULL DISTANCE] on Monday and wanted to let you know how pleased I am so far with the thought and detail that has gone into this plan
