This is my 2nd time using a plan from Awesome Coach Steve. The first time around, the plan guided me to exceeding my goal in my first 140.6 distance. As someone who has experienced his fair share of injuries, I was thrilled that this plan kept me injury free! Other important points:

Coach Steve and his Olympic plan are awesome!!! I improved by almost 20 percent from my last race, which was only 6 months ago. I rode the bike leg faster than I've ever ridden a bicycle, and my swim was the strongest ever. I emailed Coach multiple times during the program and he was superbly responsive. This race was such a phenomenal experience and Coach Steve and his program aided immensely in that. I would recommend his programs to any triathletes of all levels without hesitation.
This was the perfect plan for me – kept me motivated and focused during the off season (polite way of not saying COVID!) – actually saw some decent gains in my FTP and run pace which was a nice bonus … and thanks to Steve for helping me pick the best plan for my actual race- roll on Sept!
I went from zero triathlon experience to completing a sub 6 hour HALF DISTANCE Iron man following the BEGINNER HALF DISTANCE 30 week plan. I found the base weeks great and then could see my performance really start improving in the build weeks. Easy to follow and adequate rest
It has been a very exciting 4 years working with Steve. At the start of wash Eason we set challenging but achievable goals with a plan that is tailored to the athlete, not the other way around and one that is adaptable to life’s general obstacles! Not only is data reviewed in detail, but how the athlete feels is also considered in each block. Not only have I achieved personal goals, I have even podiumed a number of times. Could not recommend coach Steve enough!
I’m so glad I found your plan to help me accomplish my goal of completing my first triathlon this year. With no prior triathlon experience, I signed up for the Timberman HALF DISTANCE which was held on 9/18/22. I signed up for this race in late 2021. In January, I purchased this plan – INTERMEDIATE HALF DISTANCE 32 week plan includes email access to Coach, reusable, HR based and got started in February. I completed my HALF DISTANCE in 6 hours, 11 minutes and am very pleased with this
I completed my A race this weekend (Olympic). Podium for my age group and 24th overall in field of 350 with strong elite athlete participation.
More than the result though, I was really pleased with how my body responded compared to my first Olympic race. I felt great afterwards – even went to an all day music festival the next day! I honestly see this as a testament to your training plan and would like to continue with your training plans.
Steve's plan helped me successfully complete my first HALF DISTANCE! The plan was manageable and I felt like I was able to move my workouts around as my scheduled allowed. I will be using the plan again to train for my next HALF DISTANCE. Steve also provided helpful emails throughout the training plan.
I used Smartendurancesolutions for my 1st full FULL DISTANCE this year, I can’t recommend Smartendurancesolutions enough, Steven took me from very low levels of fitness to completing an FULL DISTANCE in a time I had only dreamed of. There is great feedback on all sessions. It is easy to see all sessions have a purpose and tie into the overall plan. Heart-rate controlled sessions, which make it all easier on race day to stay on target in zone and in control. The added advantage of having a coach who is very experienced and accomplished long distance racer, is great for bringing a calming effect, for those times of pre-race panic
