This is my 2nd time using a plan from Awesome Coach Steve. The first time around, the plan guided me to exceeding my goal in my first 140.6 distance. As someone who has experienced his fair share of injuries, I was thrilled that this plan kept me injury free! Other important points:
– Coach Steve has always responded promptly to any questions that I have had about the plan
– A wide range of plans to fit anyone's starting point and time availability
– Swim Videos included
– Value for your $$$
The Training plan you have done out for me is going really well. Pushing me harder than I have ever gone but my fitness is flying up. Thank you very much.
Steve is an experienced coach. He has a thorough understanding of training peaks and how to interpret the data so if you are using TP then Steve can help you to leverage the information to provide more insights. I used Steve's plan for my 1st half ironman and finished it injury free in the time as trained and planned.
Was Coached by Steve in 2019-2020 for Ironman Cork. I started off with relatively little triathlon experience. From the get go I knew Steve was an excellent coach, his daily feedback and training progression over the months were unmatched. I went from feeling like an ironman was an impossible task to aiming for times which I could only dream of before starting with Steve. One of the Best things about been coached by Steve, was his flexibility, which helped with my line of work. Highly recommend
I am really enjoying the 70.3 program!
Have loved reading the SMartEnduro Community updates and motivational stories over the past year. Have done a few sprints and Olympics during the season but waited until my A race to post. Firstly, thanks to coach Steve for setting out a progressive and challenging training programme. I won’t lie, I didn’t stick to it meticulously but it was great motivation when other things, covid, family, life, posed distractions!!
I'm doing my 5th full IM this year – IMCA and chose Coach Steve's plan as I liked the longer duration and the 50+ training plan – 2 weeks hard, 1 lighter week. I had a complication tho as I'm doing the St George 70.3 WC in mid Sept then have 2.5 weeks of travel between St George and IMCA. Coach Steve came up with a revised plan that allowed for my race, recovery, travel and then enough key workouts to be ready for IMCA.
A great job, very responsive and I highly recommend him as a Coach!
Really impressed with the training so far. I bought my 70.3 Intermediate plan for my upcoming 70.3 (NC) and I have to say, I’m impressed.
In 14 weeks I have raised my FTP from 198 to 243, I have improved my Time Trail Swimming from 2:10 to 1:42 and all because I have followed as close as possible (with life commitments) the plan from Coach Steve.
He does know what he is talking, he is super approachable and you can ask questions when in doubt, ask for guidance. He is great!
I searched through a number of training programmes on Training Peaks and was delighted I chose Coach Steve and Smart Endurance Solutions.
From a long time absence away from triathlon, I wanted something that would get me up to date without having to think too hard, and that would also adapt to my own development.
So far it has challenged me without being over-faced. The Facebook community and ability to email Coach Steve is a really nice extra for such a good value package.
The structure is the game changer. I started with a decent level of fitness but absolutely no clue on how to advance. The personal program with excellent feedback from Steve all ultimately made me a sub 3 marathoner. Can't recommend enough and as a bonus, Steve is just a nice guy. Genuinely one of the best coaches in the country now and his accolades speak to that.
Steven set me up with my first 70.3 training plan back in 2015 and I haven’t looked back since. He designed a structured, balanced and personalized plan that enabled me achieve all my goals and far more!
Steven always gave great feedback for my sessions while remaining lighthearted and making sure i stayed grounded!
I would highly recommend his training plans to anyone looking to make gains from whatever level they’re at.
Thanks for tips on the journey Steve. I couldn’t stick to planned training with life/work, but improvised a little . Oh and got 6th in over 60 age category
