Coach Steve’s 70.3 training plan not only got me to the finish line on my first 70.3 Ironman event, but managed to prepare me well enough to beat my expected 6 hours by 22 minutes!
Will most definately stick to SMart Endurance for my next event.

A wonderful training plan that fits in with my busy work lifestyle. The sessions are well prepared and well thought of with many little bits of advice along the way. The guidance will get you through to race day leaving you with much confidence, meaning you only need to remember to bring your kit! The author is very approachable and helped me pick out the right plan for me and went out of his way in doing so. I am very appreciative of that and would certainly recommend Steve to everyone. I just thought I would drop you a line to say thank you for your help in the build-up to my first Ironman. It was a big big help having a structured plan to follow and it’s been a massive learning curve these last twelve months.
So I actually finished the damn thing, amazing really!!, was doubting myself a bit at the start line but I had a FANTASTIC day in Barcelona. It was an experience I think I will remember forever, and I enjoyed it so much I reckon I’m going back next year!!! 🙂 I’ve been well and truly bitten by the tri bug.
Being able to swim, bike and run, albeit for really short distances, I signed up for IM Ireland giving myself 8 months of training with a plan from Steve starting mind January.
Of all the items used during training and on race day Steve’s plan was one that gave me a huge return on investment over everything else. Without it I would have been training blind and I am confident I would not have completed the day.

I’ve tried a few different plans in the past & Steve is most def a coach who listens & will be sure to identify what your base, strengths and weaknesses are to come up with a solution that works best for you. Steve is open to adjust the plan & offers advice when life gets in the way. A lot to be said for a SMart plan that works around your life & the goals you’ve set for yourself no matter how challenging they are.
I loved your plan [INTERMEDIATE 70.3 24 week plan (50yrs+)] ,I bought last spring so much now I am looking for a winter base training plan!
I participated in the Philadelphia marathon in PA, USA. It was my first marathon and your plan really helped me through it!
I purchased this Intermediate plan for my first Ironman. I had previously done a 70.3; for the 70.3 I made my own plan and struggled with overtraining. I felt this plan was just what I needed it to be, it provided a good structure, will a repeatable pattern, a steady build complemented by rest weeks. By the time my race came, I made a prediction table; due to my extensive training, my prediction was very accurate for each discipline. I recommend getting a training plan if its not your 1st.

Just finished IronMan Austria with a new personal best. Felt really good during the race and only the hot temperatures of ~35 degrees Celsius stoped me from getting an even better finishing time. The plan was great, with lots of long rides and runs that proved their worth during the race. Very important: i don't have any next day pain after the race (I can even do squats) so the recovery went so well. Highly recommend your plan to anyone. Thanks
