I want to say I liked your training schedule and although I didn’t have to consult you much, it is a good feeling you have a backup. Also your emails with advises and your data which you can consult is good.
Thank you for the training plan and your helpful tips and advice throughout, it all paid off and this was my first ever attempt at a full-distance tri in FULL DISTANCE Couer d’Alene in Idaho.
I have been working away using your base builder for the HALF DISTANCE and have really enjoyed it. It makes life so simple when I just press a button and go. Love not having to think what sport I need to do and what do I need to do while doing it.

Steve’s plan was really great. I felt very well-prepared and ready my first HALF DISTANCE. I remember my first Olympic – done with some self-training/a tri club, no real “plan” per se – being anxious about the race. After using this training plan, I knew I could complete the race before I stepped foot on the course – it almost felt easy! Looking forward to using Steve’s plans again for my first FULL DISTANCE!
I joined the program with some sort of hesitation from deviating from my current functional program I follow.
But since joining the SES program my fitness has increased like never before! My body has reacted really well and I can’t wait to see the results on race day.
Steve has been great and made the program super clear and accessible through the online platform.

Huge thanks to Steve and Smartendurancesolutions – your plans and insight have not only kept me injury free this winter but built an aerobic base which has seen me set 3 5k pb (Winning our club handicap competition) and also complete a marathon without feeling like death at the end!! Next up – FULL DISTANCE Italy!!
I felt your coaching skills combined with your knowledge of when to push and when to accept my excuses (!) was such a help to me. Our partnership was key in getting me across the finish line in the race with a PB too…. I definitely did more brick sessions than in previous years and that stood to me on race day
Just back from Youghal. What a day and what an experience for my first ever triathlon! Lots of emotions right now that are hard to describe. . Overall I finished in 5hrs 39mins and I’m delighted with that giving family life, job, yada yada, you know…

Used the “Marathon Intermediate 12 week plan – 40 – 70 km per week” and it brought me from a 4hr16 marathon to a 3hr25 marathon. Great plan and easy to follow. Volume is sufficient and not too much and therefore I managed to stay injury free.
