SMart endurance solutions was borne out of initially a love for triathlon and endurance events that grew into a love for coaching of the same.
I have been a racing triathlete/runner for over 20 years and found that my strength/love lay with the longer distance events.
In the last 15 years – due to cajoling of my clubmates – I dipped my toe into the world of coaching and found it unbelievably rewarding to help athletes of all levels unlock their potential, via my guidance/direction.
Being a firm believer in continued personal development – over the last five years – I have expanded my coaching knowledge and qualifications to ensure that I offer my athletes the most up to date coaching approaches to improving their performance too.
I found that based on my unique mixture of experience, scientific/data driven approach and interpersonal skills – I was able to help athletes of all levels and have found this the most rewarding endurance event I have ever undertaken.
My rewards have come in various forms – including winning Triathlon Ireland Coach of the Year in 2017 but the ones I value the most are the feedback/conversations with guys/gals who have achieved their personal goals working with me – this is what keeps me motivated.
In terms of my offerings to athletes – I limit myself to 25 athletes in “the squad” that avail of me as a 1-2-1 coach as it takes time to build/review and feedback on their training – these normally are full by Sept of each year but no harm in asking.
For people not lucky enough to make the cut – I hope my pre built training plans will help you achieve your goal .
I also in special circumstances do offer custom training plans which will reflect your specific work/life balance, planned race schedule and duration to your A race – drop me a line if this might be of interest.
So thank you for taking the time to read about me and I hope you delve further in the site or reach out to me directly to see where SMartEnduranceSolutions might help you achieve a lifetime goal.
“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark. ”
